Alice in Wonder Land

It is a ccccold, windy and snowy wonder land today. The wind blew away my wonderful plan that I mentioned last week to have my 4 ft. artificial tree on my screened porch the year round with monthly decorations. The tree was blown off the stand, pelted with rain, and some of the ornaments broke. So it will be just an ordinary Christmas tree each year. The small round table it was on inside is proudly displaying the 61 year old lamp that was given to my husband Larry and I as a wedding gift. The glass globe lamp was broken years ago when our girls were tossing a ball inside. The lamp was glued and has survived being in seven locations and three states.

Connie Gonzales 'warmed up my day' when she called me recently. She remembers Larry every day because he did some work in her kitchen.

My thoughts and prayers were with the hunters, guides and landowners during the Hunting With Soldiers this past weekend. Larry helped Winfield Basham with these hunts.

Many people do not find guidance and help in the Bible because they start reading at the beginning in Genesis (the Old Testament) where there is hate, fear, and no hope or peace. In the New Testament is recorded help, hope, love and peace. Galatians 6:22 & 23...King James Version... But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
