Sarah Harkey Hall was 48 years old in 1905 when she sat down to write the story of her life growing up in San Saba County for the benefit of her children. After her death in 1908, her book was read and passed down through the family.

The May meeting of the San Saba Garden Club (SSGC) took place at Cindy Sloan’s beautifully appointed historic home on the Sloan family ranch, with 22 members in attendance.Cindy’s home offers a stunning panoramic view of San Saba County, with the river winding far below.
