I was talking with Johnny Reeves on Sunday. He shared that the hardest decision he had to make, when he was Superintendent, was over snow days and closing school. He said no matter what he did there was someone to chew him out over his decision.

Rotary January Student-of-the-Month was awarded to Haley Price (center in photo). Each month a different senior is awarded. Awards are based on leadership, character, and teacher nominations. They receive a certificate and are invited to a luncheon with the Rotarians.

Receipts totaled 1,957 head. The market continued its movement upward this week after the Christmas and New Year’s break. The stocker steers were $10-$18 higher with 4 steers 378 lbs at $392.00 ($1481.76). The stocker heifers were $5-$12 higher with 4 heifers 391 lbs at $377.50 ($1476.03).

December 30, 2024• A person reported a suicidal person on County Road 110 in San Saba; he had a 37 year old female who was suicidal stated that she hit her head a few days ago but there are no signs of injury except for this may possibly why she is suicidal.

Kim Wells has been serving San Saba County working in the County Clerk’s office since 1983 and as County Clerk October 1, 1992.Mrs. Wells rendered her resignation during the January 6th Commissioners Court meeting.
