December 30, 2024

• A person reported a suicidal person on County Road 110 in San Saba; he had a 37 year old female who was suicidal stated that she hit her head a few days ago but there are no signs of injury except for this may possibly why she is suicidal.

• A person reported that his neighbor on Inca Street in Cherokee has his cat trapped in a live trap. He stated that they are trashy neighbors and they throw their trash all over the place so his cats go over there to eat mice and stuff and now he has it trapped.

• A fire alarm was reported at FM 501 W. in Cherokee.

December 31, 2024

• There were multiple reports of an uncontrolled grass fire on S. Hwy 16 in San Saba; it ended up being a controlled burn.

January 1, 2025

• A person called stating that he drove up on an accident on FM 502 & CR 260 in San Saba where a young female had totaled her vehicle. He advised that she was out of the vehicle and was shaken up. The caller handed the phone to the driver; she advised she does not think she has any injuries but wanted to talk to her parents. The caller disconnected the call so she could call her family.

• A person called stating they had a brush fire burning to take pictures in front of but it started catching their grass on fire and it is spreading fast. Location: CR 121 & Pvt Rd 129 in San Saba.

• The Lampasas Hospital called and stated an individual, was shot at the gun range in our county at Delta Red. Caller advised that it was an accident, but he still has to report it.

• EMS called and stated they are coming back from Lampasas County going over the river bridge at Hwy 190 E. at the county line, and they have a reckless driver in front of them. They advised it is a white ford pickup. They advised it is tailgating the vehicles in front of them and passing in 'no passing zones.'

January 2, 2025

• A person called stating that he set a bale of hay on fire on FM 500 in San Saba. He advised it is in the middle of the road.

• A person called stating that someone has been sabotaging their car that is in their driveway on E. Commerce in Richland Springs. Caller advised this has 'been going on for months.'

January 3, 2025

• Caller stated that there was a white Jeep Wrangler with a brown top on Hwy 190 just west of San Saba. They believed the driver was intoxicated. The caller stated that the jeep struck a guard rail and continued. Advised that the vehicle was all over the road. A unit was notified and enroute, Game Warden Murr assisting. Vehicle located and stopped at Coyote and Carter in Richland Springs.

January 4, 2025

• Caller stated that there was a reckless driver on 190 at 580 heading toward San Saba. Advised white Toyota RAV4. Hitting brakes a lot and swerving.

• A person called and stated there was a large steel tube in the middle of the road on 280 & 190 in San Saba.

• Caller stated that they would like to see if a deputy could go to her neighbors residence and get him to release her cat from a live trap on his property. Advised she can hear the cat meowing. An officer was notified and provided with phone number. Location: Mathis residence in Cherokee.

January 6, 2025

• A person called stating that she was with ADT and they had a residential fire alarm going off on FM 501 W. in Cherokee. They advised they have not been able to get in touch of the home owner... I tried to contact her as well and it goes straight to voicemail.

• An officer advised they would be out on a call in the Pontotoc area in reference to an assault but didn't have an exact address.

January 7, 2025

• A person called to report someone on Navaho Trail in Cherokee burning.

January 8, 2025

• A person called in from Elm Grove Fire Department to report theft of one of their trucks. They said contact on site will be him or another individual. Location: Elm Grove Fire Station.

January 9, 2025

• There were multiple 911

calls about a big black cow out on Hwy 16 near CR 439.

January 10, 2025

• A person called stating he has property in our county (lives in elsewhere) and his wants to report his neighbor for cruelty to animals and to the mental health commissions. He stated that his neighbor does not take care of his livestock and that he passed one today that was dead on the side of the road. Caller advised it has been going on for years. Caller advised he is not sure where he lives. (unknown street in San Saba) No address listed on call sheet.

• A person called stating that there was a white flat bed truck pulling a trailer with something hanging off the back off it. They advised the thing hanging off the back was dragging on the ground and throwing sparks. Caller advised that it looked like a trailer used to carry tractors or farm equipment. Caller advised that it was the piece that is used to pull the equipment onto the trailer that was dragging. Location: Hwy 190 headed west in San Saba.

January 11, 2025

• A person called stating that there were some Hispanic men out in a field near where he was at on CR 256 in San Saba. He stated he didn't know what they were doing but they were all holding pipes. Caller advised that they surrounded his car. Caller advised he was broken down on the side of the road with a flat tire. Caller advised that he called an individual to come help him with his flat tire. Caller advised that the individual told him it would be awhile before he could come help him so he is not sure when he is coming.

• A person called stating she took her friend, 79 year old male, to the hospital last night. She advised he is diabetic and has nerve damage. She advised they heavily sedated him and she has not heard from him in awhile. Caller advised she is out of town and worried about him. Location: South Hall St. in Richland Springs.
