Varsity Player of the Week This week, we recognize 5’5 sophomore guard Olivia Sebastain as the Varsity Player of the week. She plays basketball, softball, tennis, cross country and track. Olivia also participates in Student Council and Cheer.

Last week was a great week for the Indians basketball teams. Both junior high boys and girls won their games against Lohn. The varsity girls beat Lometa in a nail biter while the varsity boys had a big win over Bell County.

Coyote Basketball is well underway as the boys' team outscored Bell County Academy, 71 to 31. This was the first home game for the Coyotes, and they are off to a great start with district play beginning this week.

Coach Chris Jost This week, we recognize 5’1 sophomore guard Aaliyah Patino as the Varsity Player of the week. She plays basketball, track and softball. Aaliyah also participates in TAFE, Student Council and was a student trainer for football.

Lance Taylor

Congratulations to San Saba HS senior Lance Taylor on receiving his first offer from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. The college is a member of the NCAA (Division 3) and competes in the American Southwest Conference. Way to go, Lance!

In another rivalry barnburner at Armadillo Arena, the Mason Cowgirls held off the San Saba Lady Dillos last Tuesday night 44-42 in overtime. Mason moved into sole possession of 1st place with the win. Olivia Sebastain paced the Lady Dillos with 12 points.
