Last week was a great week for the Indians basketball teams. Both junior high boys and girls won their games against Lohn. The varsity girls beat Lometa in a nail biter while the varsity boys had a big win over Bell County. Friday, the varsity girls and boys both took on Lohn and won those games as well. Good job to our athletes!
Cherokee Youth Basketball is underway, too. The Kindergarten through second grade team lost their first game to San Saba B but won against Lohn. The third and fourth grade team had a bye week for game one but came back to win against Lohn this week. The fifth and sixth grade team is still looking for a win. They will play this Saturday in San Saba. Janu-ary 28th, Cherokee will host the youth basketball tournament here on campus. If you would like to help, you can contact Chelsea Fry. Next week on January 23rd, there will be a parent academic information meeting for all 8th-12th grade parents at 5:30 p.m. Please make plans to attend if you have a student in that age group.
