The San Saba Middle School Tennis Team hosted an invitational tennis tournament in San Saba on Saturday, April 29. We had 10 teams playing in the tournament and a total of 255 players at the tournament. By far, it was the largest tournament we have played in this year.

San Saba Middle School Tennis Report

The San Saba Middle School Tennis Team played in the Mason Middle School Tournament on Friday-Saturday, April 21-22. Teams playing in the tournament were San Saba, Mason, Fredericksburg, Wall, Center Point, Hunt, Ingram, Johnson City, and Junction.
Congratulations to Cinzlea Stanton as she qualified for the 2A state tournament. Cinzlea will be playing at the Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin, TX on May 15th-16th. Submitted by Jake Lackey

Busy week of sports at Cherokee ISD

We had two girls and two boys be named as TMSCA all region basketball players. Both Chloe Berrio and Maycie Shanklin made 2nd team all-region. Joey Bond made 2nd team all-region, and Joel Valdez made 1st team all-region. Congratulations to these athletes!

Regional Bound!! Congratulations to Cinzlea Stanton and Winton Lackey. The sophomores golfers from San Saba advanced as medalist from district 29-2A. Stanton’s two day total of 174 (87, 87) was good enough to place her 4th overall in one of the toughest girls districts in 2A golf.

Rotary April Student-of-the-Month

Rotary April Student-of-the-Month was awarded to Madison Shahan. Each month, a different senior student is awarded. Awards are based on leadership, character, teacher nominations, and a personal essay written by the student. Recipients are presented to the student body as well as the school board.
