Last week, the junior high and varsity football teams played their last district game of the season. Both teams came out on top over Lohn. The junior high Indians finished their season as district champs and the varsity team ended their regular season as district runners up.

Rotary November Student-ofthe- Month goes to Julius Salinas. Each month, a different senior is awarded. Awards are based on leadership, character, teacher nominations, and a personal essay written by the student. Recipients are presented to the student body as well as the school board.

The San Saba Armadillos (37, 2-4 in district) season ended last Friday night when they were defeated soundly by the district 5-2A champions, Tolar Rattlers (9-1, 6-0 district).

The San Saba High School National Honor Society (NHS) has a full schedule for this year. For October, we are having a decorate your pumpkin contest like last year. It will involve the high school, middle school and elementary campus. The NHS will hold a food drive in November.

The San Saba Middle School Annual 5th/6th Costume Parade was a spooktacular success. Our students showed tremendous enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity through their costumes. The students represented SSMS well as they walked by the nursing home and community businesses downtown.
