Last week, the junior high and varsity football teams played their last district game of the season. Both teams came out on top over Lohn. The junior high Indians finished their season as district champs and the varsity team ended their regular season as district runners up. The varsity team will play against Zephyr in San Saba for their first playoff game this Friday evening at 7 p.m.
Over the weekend, the Cherokee FFA participated in the Junction Leadership Development contests. Our Radio Broadcasting team placed 1st. In Greenhand Creed speaking, we placed 5th. In Senior Creed speaking, we placed 4th, and in Senior Farm skills, we placed 6th.
Our annual Thanksgiving meal will be on campus on November 15th. We welcome families and friends to come eat with our students that day and celebrate the holiday a little early. We have also set our date for the Christmas Program. It will be December 19th, so mark your calendars. It is always a fun evening!
