San Saba High School One Act Play advances to Bi-District

The San Saba High School One Act Play Company competed in the District OAP contest this past Tuesday in Mason. Seven schools participated at the district level with only three schools advancing to the bi-district level. Advancing with San Saba were the One Act Play Companies from Junction and Mason.

News From Cherokee ISD

There is so much to report on this week from Cherokee ISD. Spring Break was an exciting time for our school. Many of our staff, students, and parents went on a trip to Italy through EF Tours. The trip started with a layover in London, and we were able to go see Buckingham Palace.

Mandi Fry won Third Place in the 2024 Hickory UWCD No. 1 Annual Poster Contest. Mandi is a 5th Grade student in Ms. Padgett’s class at Cherokee Elementary School. The theme for this year’s poster contest was Water Is Essential To Life! The contest was open to all area 4th and 5th Graders.

Our Why. As spring break winds down and we find ourselves contemplating how we are going to navigate the torrent that is the spring semester, I wanted to take a moment to share a brief story from over the break that served to me as a reminder as to why we do what we do.
