Week 2 Preview San Saba vs Junction

Game two of the season will see San Saba taking on another Eagle team, this time it will be the Junction Eagles. Junction is coming off a 40-6 win over the Goldthwaite Eagles. This will be the 29th time the two teams have squared off, the first time coming back in 1920 (San Saba won 6-5).

Armadillos open up season with a win, 14-2

The 2024 football season started on a solid note as the Dillos defeated the Grape Creek Eagles 14-2 last Friday at Rogan Field. The “experts” picked San Saba to win by 21 points, but a sluggish offensive start and several untimely penalties kept the Dillos out of the endzone on multiple occasions.

We have completed our first full week of school, and everybody is settling into the new school year. Football and cross country are firing up as well. Last week, the football boys scrimmaged against Rising Star. This week, they will travel to Zephyr for another scrimmage on Friday.
