The Lady Dillos showcased their expertise in the Armadillo Arena last Tuesday night, securing an 80-53 victory over the Mason Cowgirls in their district opener. The team’s outstanding performance included a combined 14 three-pointers.

It’s been another busy week here at Cherokee ISD as we are wrapping up loose ends before Christmas break. We had a basketball tournament over the weekend right here in Cherokee which required a lot of help from our staff and community, and we are so thankful for everyone that made that possible.

I may have mentioned before that I am a bit of a nerd. Or, maybe you can just tell. Who knows? Anyway, one of the things I enjoy doing from time to time is watching Ted Youth videos.In doing so this weekend, I came across a young man talking about his quest for brilliantly white teeth.

Lady Dillos emerge as champions at Coach Smith tournament

This weekend, the Lady Dillos embodied the spirit of small town, big pride as they returned home with some hardware from the “Coach Smith tournament” in Salado.The 2A varsity team, consisting of three seniors, two juniors, and four freshmen, excelled in six games.

Last week, our students competed academically and on the basketball court. Our junior high and elementary students participated in UIL, and our high school boys and girls played in a basketball tournament in Rochelle.In the tournament, both teams earned the title of tournament champions.
