Last week, our students competed academically and on the basketball court. Our junior high and elementary students participated in UIL, and our high school boys and girls played in a basketball tournament in Rochelle.
In the tournament, both teams earned the title of tournament champions. Lauren Roberson was named most valuable player while Payton Hanley and Tilar Turman were earned all-tournament honors.
Our junior high students placed 3rd overall in the UIL competition. Individual results are as follows:

Elementary results will come next week!
On Saturday, the 14th, at 10 a.m., we will have a Wreaths Across America ceremony at Cherokee cemetery to honor veterans who are no longer with us. Our students will give a short presentation, and then we will lay wreaths on the graves of our local veterans. We have about 60 wreaths to lay; we would love to have a good amount of people to help us honor these heroes.
