Lady Dillos emerge as champions at Coach Smith tournament

    This weekend, the Lady Dillos embodied the spirit of small town, big pride as they returned home with some hardware from the “Coach Smith tournament” in Salado.

    The 2A varsity team, consisting of three seniors, two juniors, and four freshmen, excelled in six games. The Lady Dillos secured victories against Temple (39-23), Gunter (57-40), Friendswood ( 55- 51), Salado ( 68- 51), Lehman (57-35), and Cleburne (51-46) ultimately emerging as champions.

    The Lady Dillos ( 13- 3) will commence district play Tuesday, competing against neighboring rivals, the Mason Cowgirls, in what is expected to be a thrilling matchup.
