Armadillos fall to Junction Eagles, 20-6

The San Saba Armadillos came up short Friday night, at home, against the Junction Eagles, falling 20-6 in their second game of the season. The loss drops the Armadillos to 1-1 on the year.The game opened with a strong defensive stand by San Saba, forcing the Eagles into a quick three-and-out.

Last week, our Cherokee Indians junior varsity and varsity teams played against Leakey. While our JV did not pull out a victory, our varsity team showed up! The Leakey Eagles ran away with the game in the first half earning a 30 point lead at the half.

Armadillos dominate season opener, defeat Grape Creek 27-12

The San Saba Armadillos varsity football team opened their 2025 season in commanding fashion Friday night, defeating the Grape Creek Eagles 27-12, in Grape Creek.Though the Eagles struck first with a rushing touchdown in the opening quarter, their momentum was short-lived.
