With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Connie Huizar, who was born on March 30, 1954, to Miguel and Maria Sanchez of San Saba, Texas. She peacefully joined her heavenly family, including her beloved husband, Fred Huizar, after 41 years of love and devotion.

Virginia Gail Callahan

Virginia Gail Callahan, age 94, was born on May 22, 1930, near the old suspension bridge at Bend, Lampasas County, Texas, the oldest child of Sherman Means and Virga Hope (Baxter) Millican. She departed this life on April 1, 2025, in Lampasas, Texas.

V.C. Tyler Jr.

V.C. Tyler Jr., 79, of San Saba, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, while hospitalized in Temple, Texas. A celebration of his life will be held 1:00 p.m.

Wendell Dean “Buz” Vardeman

Wendell Dean “Buz” Vardeman died at the age of 97 on March 25, 2025, at his home in Lubbock County, Texas. Funeral services and interment were at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock on Monday, March 31.

Deborah Sterner Lee

Debbie Sterner Lee, age 73, passed away on March 13, 2025. Debbie was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She lived life to the fullest and had a true servant’s heart. A funeral service for Debbie was held at 2:00 p.m.

Amado Vasquez

Amado Vasquez Jr. of San Saba, TX, left us peacefully on March 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Our beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, and father will always be remembered for his sense of humor and unmistakable sound of his laughter.

Meena Arons

Meena Julthong Arons was born in northern Thailand in a small village close to Burma on February 1, 1957. Her mother died a month after she was born. Meena was taken care of for three years by her mother’s sister.

Michelle Lindsey

Michelle Lindsey, 56, of San Saba, Texas, passed away at her home on March 11, 2025. A visitation for Michelle was held from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at Blaylock Funeral Home; a memorial service followed beginning at 6:00 p.m. and was officiated by Pastor Sam Crosby.

Douglas Radow Keeney

Douglas Radow Keeney was born February 28, 1949, in San Saba, Texas, and passed away peacefully from this life on March 11, 2025, at his home in La Vernia, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old.

Troy D. Johnson

Troy D. Johnson, aged 75, peacefully passed March 5, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. He was born in San Saba, Texas, on December 12, 1949, to the late J.A. “Jay” Johnson and the Mary Louise Wagner Johnson.
