On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Juanita, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Juanita was the 6th of seven children born to Hugh and Zeola McSmith on March 16, 1932, in Trickham, Texas.

Patricia Ann Burnham Pratt

Patricia Ann Burnham Pratt, 68, died June 7, 2021, in Williamson County, Texas. Pat was born June 30, 1952 to Stanley and Mildred (Millie) Burnham in San Saba’s new hospital. She was welcomed by her brother Ronald Burnham and sister Diana Lane Burnham Manning all of whom have survived her.

Janet Louise Tackett

Warren Kenneth Kuykendall

Kenneth Kuykendall, 93, of Cherokee, Texas, was born on November 10, 1927, and passed away in his home on May 30, 2021. He was born and raised in San Saba County, the son of Warren and Eula Belle Gray Kuykendall, the youngest of their five children.

David Richard Thornton

David Richard Thornton, 87, of Austin, Texas, completed his life’s work on May 31, 2021, in Austin, Texas. Richard’s father, Sebern J. Thornton, and mother, Alice L Jackson Thornton, advised him early on that “a job worth doing is worth doing well.” Richard did his work well, and it is now done.

Obie Paul Leonard, Jr.

Paul Leonard went on to the next event on Friday, May 21, 2021, at the age of 95. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Chapel Bible Church, 3701 Birchman Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, followed by a reception at the church.

Rosemary Sanchez

Rosemary Sanchez was born December 22,1959, to Mary and Eliseo Sanchez of Bronte, Texas. Rosemary passed away peacefully at her home in Gallup, New Mexico, on June 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her brothers: James, Eliseo, George and Moses.

Larry Gene Conner

Larry Gene Conner went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2021. He was born to Ernest Eugene Conner and Lela Lee (Myers) Conner on February 18, 1944, in San Saba, Texas. He attended school in San Saba and graduated from San Saba High School in 1962.

Bobbye Petty

Bobbye Jean Petty, age 87, of Brady, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, in San Angelo, Texas. Bobbye was born February 24, 1934, in Richland Springs, Texas, to Robert L. Bolinger and Gladys M. (Shaw) Bolinger. She married Jerry Petty on September 11, 1954, in Richland Springs, Texas.

George Stanley Weik

George Stanley Weik, known to us as Stan, was born October 10, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. Stan left this world to go home to our Lord on May 14, 2021. Throughout his years, he lived in many areas of Texas, but he called San Saba home where he served as City Manager since December 2007.
