Maybell (Cook) Ray from Cherokee, Texas, passed away February 6, 2022, in Lampasas, Texas. She was born September 11, 1922, in San Saba, Texas. Ms. Maybell was the youngest child of B. A. and Dora (McCoy) Cook. Ms. Maybell married Cecil E. Ray on May 19, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1990.

Merle Deen Thompson Jr.

Merle Deen Thompson age 82, of Bend, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2022. Deen was born on February 15, 1939, at home in Brownwood, Texas, to Merle D. Thompson Sr. and Lola (Northcut).

Dee Johnson, 80, of San Saba, passed away December 23rd, after a short battle with lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jane Johnson; mother, Vada Johnson; and father, Woodrow Johnson.

Amado H. Martinez, age 91 of San Saba, Texas, passed away January 18, 2022, in Llano, Texas. Amado was born September 13, 1930, in Villa Union, Coahuila Mexico, to Regino Hernandez and Anastacia Martinez. He loved being outdoors farming on the ranch where he worked until his retirement.

Vanessa Ringo Patterson, age 73, passed from this life on January 22, 2022, just shy of her 74th birthday. Vanessa was born on January 25, 1948, in San Saba to Dalton and JoNell (Swails) Laughlin. She had been a resident of San Saba County all of her life.

Gerald Dean McKee age 72, of Richland Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully from this life to his eternal home on January 18, 2022. Gerald was born on August 16, 1949, in San Saba, Texas, to Nolan Bonner and Minnie Bea (Yarbrough) McKee.

Maude Ann Kuykendall

Maude Ann Epperson Kuykendall, 92, of Cherokee, Texas, was born on January 8, 1930, and passed away January 18, 2022. She was born in Llano County, the daughter of Quinna Elizabeth and James Enoch Epperson, the youngest of their four children.

Ronald Joseph Mays "Buddy"

Ronald Joseph Mays, aka Buddy, was born December 18th, 1947, to Alvin and Doris Mays in Burnet, Texas. He spent his formative years in San Saba, Texas. He graduated from San Saba High School in 1966 and was actively involved in FFA, 4-H, Rodeo club and ALL things Cowboy!
