Lorenzo P. Esquivel 81, of San Saba passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. Lorenzo was born on May 16, 1939, to Aristeo and Maria P Esquivel.

Lorenzo married Macrina Reyes on January 13, 1958. He worked at the metal master machine shop in Goldthwaite for 15 years. Lorenzo went to work for Haynes and Ted Burham, worked for Ted welding for 10 Years in San Saba. He worked for O.C. Wimberly Pecaning 19 years in Austin. He came home to San Saba and did odd jobs welding and pecaning for Dennis Hardman up until he got sick. He enjoyed being outside helping Macrina in their garden. He enjoyed listening to music in his room and watching his western movies. He always made sure the yard was mowed. He loved to go dancing and visiting with his friends. He is now dancing with the love of his life.

Lorenzo is survived by daughter, Rosemary and husband Louis of San Saba; Hermina and her husband Abel Jr. of Brownwood; son, Larry and wife Amy of Brownwood; daughter, Blanca and husband Charlie of Brownwood; daughter, Tammy and husband Cade of Richland Springs; and grandson, Moses. He is survived by his grandchildren and his great grandchildren whom he loved and cherished and was proud to be their Popo. Grandchildren include: Mathew Esquivel and wife Cara of Brownwood; Christina Brockman of San Saba; Sabel Romero and husband Jose of San Saba; Megan Cisneroz and Ryan Wimberley of Brownwood; Bianca Couch and husband Patrick of Brownwood; Nina Paredez of Austin; Macy Martin of College Station; Isaac Zepeda and wife Sam of Brownwood; Brooke Esquivel of Brownwood; Emily and husband Jay Short of San Saba; Marci Martin of Richland Springs; Austin Cisneroz of San Saba, and Cody Martin of Richland Springs. Great grandchildren include: Mason Esquivel, Cinzlea Stanton, Skyler Romero, Maitlyn Esquivel, Jayden Romero, Jordan and Jaxson Wimberley, Cameryn Brockman, Kayson Zepeda, Brynleigh Couch, Gio Esquivel, McKinley Schultz, Leighton Couch and Eleanor Short.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by his loving wife, Macrina Esquivel; parents, Aristeo and Maria Esquivel; sisters: Ramona Gurulee, Venina, Chona, Delfina; and brothers: Sipriano, Lalo, and Gilbert Martinez.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 2nd, from 5-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba. Rosary was held Tuesday, March 2nd, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Saba. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in San Saba.

Pallbearers include Louis Cisneroz, Abel Paredez Jr, Charlie Hardy, Cade Martin, Dennis Hardman, Mathew Esquivel, Issac Zepeda, Austin Cisneroz, and Cody Martin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Moses Esquivel and Dennis Hardman.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba, Texas.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas.
