Senaida Calderon, 78, of Goldthwaite, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Austin, Texas. Senaida was born June 14, 1948, in San Saba County, Texas, to Joe Flores and Juanita Vasquez Flores. She married Salvador Calderon on January 4, 1966, in San Saba, Texas. The couple made their home in Goldthwaite in 1987.
Senaida was a restaurant owner and homemaker. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her husband, Salvador Calderon; her children: David Calderon and wife Rita, and Jessica Calderon; six grandchildren: Joseph Calderon, Michael Calderon, Andrew Calderon, Olivia Calderon, Amaya Sheldon and Aaron Sheldon; two brothers, Thomas Flores and Pablo Flores; and three sisters, Elvira Soto, Lydia Flores and Paula Flores.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Flores and Juanita Vasquez Flores; and her brother, Vincente Flores.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 23, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite. A rosary will follow at 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2026, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Goldthwaite, with Father Jojappa "Jo" Polisetty officiating. Interment will follow at San Saba City Cemetery in San Saba, Texas.
