Sheila Johnson

During her years in Georgetown, she was a supporter of the Policeman's Ride Along program for adults and youth so they could understand the daily activities of the Police Department. She was an early member, with her husband, of the Texas Early Days Engine and Tractor Association and served meals during their annual antique tractor show in Temple to raise funds to sustain the Association. An avid hunter, she enjoyed making venison sausage and s moked jerky.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Curtis Johnson of Richland Springs, Texas; two sons: Jim Johnson and his wife, Katie, of Early, Texas, and their daughters, Rexi and Natalie, as well as stepsons Quinn and Zack; Richard Johnson and his wife, Jill, of Coupland, Texas, and their daughters, Lottie and Ruby. She is also survived by her sister, Alice, and her husband, John, as well as their daughters, Anna and Kara, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law and their six nephews.

She and Curtis were avid supporters of the Boy Scouts with both of their sons achieving Eagle Scout.

Sheila was a 10-year survivor of breast cancer with reoccurrence this year that claimed her life on Tuesday April 11, 2023.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba.

Sheila Johnson was born March 4, 1950, to Curtis and Alice McClish in Austin, Texas. She was a 12-year resident of San Saba County near Richland Springs, where she and her husband of 48 years, Curtis Johnson, lived on their 80 acres. She was a longtime resident of Austin with her parents, Curtis and Alice McClish, before marrying and moving to Georgetown, Texas.

Her work career included 35 years at the Texas State Comptrollers Office. She was a member of the Shiloh Bible Church where she served as
