Larry Quinten “Quint” Hibler was born on August 3, 1970, in San Saba, Texas. He was the youngest of Shirley and Larry Hibler’s five children. He would tell you that he was also the most attractive. He lived his entire life in San Saba County and leaves behind family and friends that will miss his charming wit and infectious laughter. Quint loved all his family, but especially his children, grandchildren, and all his 14 nieces and nephews. He had a kind heart and a gentle soul. He frequently called or texted his family simply to say, “I love you.” His love of literature and film influenced his sense of humor and helped him produce jokes ranging from clever, to puzzling, to inappropriate. He loved quotations and had a penchant for delivering them at any point in a conversation, with context or without. That randomness was part of what made Quint fun to talk to and to laugh with. Few could rival his imagination, and no one has a sparkle in their eye quite like Quint did in his best moments. The world needs more of the love and laughter that Quint Hibler brought to it.
Quint is survived by his children, Micah (Hibler) Locker and Troy Alan James “TJ” Hibler; his grandchildren, Olivia Locker and Willow Locker; his siblings Wade Hibler, Troy Hibler, Gina (Hibler) Woodward, and James “Pete” Hibler. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Hibler.
We love you Quint, and we miss you already . THAT THING HURTS!” / “I intend to live forever… so far, so good.” / “It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else.” / “The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created spring.” / “Maybe the biggest problem with loneliness is that we walk around thinking we’re the only ones suffering from it.”
