Rep. Pfluger: Biden Must Address Baby Formula Shortage
Thursday, May 12th, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) joined Energy & Commerce Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers and other House Republicans in a letter calling on the Biden administration and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to immediately address the ongoing baby formula shortage.
In the letter, the Members write: “Baby formula shortages are an urgent problem that must be addressed immediately. This new problem is compounded by the historic inflation caused by the Biden administration that is already burdening families…
House Republicans call on the administration to do more to help parents across this country. This issue is a matter of life and death, and it is time this administration treats it with the appropriate urgency it deserves.”

I am calling on the Biden Administration to abandon the failed economic policies that have led to failing supply chains, and immediately address this shortage to ensure American families can feed their babies.”

Thursday, May 12th, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) released a statement following the Senate consideration of a bill to legalize abortion on demand until birth nationwide:
“This week, 49 Senate Democrats voted to legalize abortions up until birth nationwide. This means America would be one of only a few countries in the world, including North Korea and communist China, that allow abortions up until the preborn child is nine months old. It is extremely disturbing that every Democrat except one would support such a radical, extreme stance.
“Since Roe v. Wade was decided nearly 50 years ago, over 62 million pre-born babies have been tragically aborted. It is time to end this scourge and protect life at every stage.”
Pfluger Bill to prevent US taxpayer dollars from enriching Chinese Communist Party passes Homeland Committee
Thursday, May 19th, a bill proposed by Rep. August Pfluger to prevent the Chinese Government from infiltrating and influencing American universities to advance their agenda passed the Homeland Security Committee.

August Pfluger (TX-11): “We know that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is utilizing Confucius Institutes to infiltrate American university campuses to engage in espionage, steal our intellectual property, intimidate Chinese dissidents, promote communist propaganda, and funnel information back to the People's Liberation Army (PLA). Under no circumstances should American taxpayer dollars be used to enrich the CCP or the PLA. Congress must ensure taxpayer dollars are cut off from these programs for good. The DHS Restrictions on Confucius Institutes and Chinese Entities of Concern Act (H.R. 7779) prevents DHS funds from flowing to American universities that host a Confucius Institute or maintain an relationship with a Chinese entity of concern. The Bill is supported by FDD Action.
