It looks like I’m going to have to delay the next sister’s cruise this winter due to my son-inlaw’s health issues. So, we’ve decided that we’re going to tour the Eastern provinces, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. These are much smaller provinces than those west of them. Canada is close to the size of the United States, but the land is only divided into ten provinces. They all cover a large amount of territory. Now we’re researching places to visit ad stay. I’m excited to see the Bay of Fundy and its immense tides. The tides are so high that they sound an alarm to tell visitors to head up to the cliffs. Newfoundland is the province that welcomed the flights during September 11th destruction of the Trade Towers. Residents there took in passengers from the grounded flights and fed and housed them until flights were released. There is a huge population of Scots Irish in the other provinces. That’s part of my ancestry. I think we will have a great sister trip.
The volleyball girls acquitted themselves well in the Benjamin tournament. They continue to improve during this preseason period. We wish them all the best for a winning season. If you haven’t been to a game, please make plans to attend a volleyball game as well as a football game. Take time to notice how much our cheerleaders have improved this year. Congratulations to all involved in Coyote sports.
The varsity boys have a game at Lometa on August 28th. Game time starts at 7:00 PM. Let’s turn out and support our teams. Go Coyotes.
The new TPUSA Chapter would like to thank everyone who turned out for the first official activity. There was a good turnout for the prayer meeting at the pole. They are working to cover our school and students with prayer. The group will be meeting every Tuesday from 8:27 to 8:47 a.m. Community members are welcome to attend the meetings. The sponsor for the group is Rennie Mann.
September is just around the corner. Activities for the month will include the Men’s Prayer Breakfast on the second Saturday of September, The RSPS community luncheon on the 13th. Our first Fifth Quarter meal Friday after the game.
Please pray for Miss Bea, she did not get a good report from her lung doctor, Mark Francis, who did not receive a good report from the oncology doctor and many others. Donna Hill is recuperating from knee surgery, and Bernice Adams is waiting on surgery. There are many others that need our prayers .Please pray for our country, the wars, the upcoming elections, and a return to good old common sense. Most of all pray for our precious troops and their families. God bless America and please bring us some rain.
