Incumbents out. Retirees back in.
According to the Election Unofficial Results Report provided by San Saba County Clerk Christi Whitley, Rickey Lusty of Precinct 2 and Pat Pool of Precinct 4 will be headed back to Commissioners Court after winning by slim margins.
They both retired from the Court and did not run for reelection two years ago. However, they both felt like there was more they could do for the folks in their precincts.
Rickey Lusty edged out Mike Poe by just three votes out of 357 total votes cast.
Pat Pool prevailed over Greg McGregor winning by 12 votes out of 340 total votes cast.
Kristina Lively was not an incumbent, but she had been an assistant to Lois VanBeck, San Saba County Treasurer, for the last year and a half hoping to replace her once Mrs. VanBeck retired. That position will now be filled by Kristi Weyerts.
