The San Saba County Museum Foundation Inc. invites everyone interested in the history of the early pioneers and settlers of the Texas Hill Country and the animals that helped them survive those difficult times to its Annual Membership meeting Sunday, June 4th, at 2:00 p.m. The location will again be The Father’s House Fellowship Hall at 704 E. Commerce Street.
Cherokee native, Franklin Crain, will present a program about the Blue Lacy dog which is the only dog breed that originated in the great state of Texas and holds the title of State Dog of Texas.
There will be fellowship and refreshments beginning at 1:30 p.m. If you are not already supporting the museum with your membership, you will have an opportunity to join if you choose.
Dues, along with donations, allow the museum to remain open to the community free of charge. Our regular hours are 1:30-4:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, April through October and by appointment. Our website is www. sansabamuseum.org.
