She shared her gift of helping others by serving her community interpreting for those who requested her assistance.
She provided support and comfort, whether you lived next door or halfway across the country. She was an amazing prayer warrior and embraced life with a giving spirit. Her words of wisdom and kindness will be missed. Grandma/Mom will be remembered as we rejoice in her beautiful life and the seeds that she “sewed” in our hearts.
Herminia is survived by her son, Fidel Paredez of Kempner, TX; daughter, Beatriz Paredez of San Saba; 13 grandchildren: Armando Paredez and wife, Melinda; Juan Paredez, Abel Paredez, Jr. and wife, Hermina; Diane Guillory and husband, Omar; Susann Stetar and husband, Robert; Rachel Dawson and husband, Richard; Andy Paredez and wife, Gayla; Mario Paredez, Linda Sexton and husband, Mike; Louise and husband, Tommy; Fidel Herrera, Fidel Paredez, Jr., and Linda Gunn and husband, Mogie.
Herminia had 20 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in California, Idaho and Ohio.
Herminia is preceded in death by her parents, Eudoxio and Sinforiana Paredez; husband, Ernesto Paredez; brothers: Eleazar Paredes, Eliseo Paredes, and Ramon Paredes; sisters: Enriqueta Martinez and Adelina Solis; sons: Abel Paredez and Salvador Paredez; and great-grandchild, Kamry Kay Paredez.
Herminia Paredez, age 104, of San Saba, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Herminia was born to Eudoxio Paredes and Sinforiana Martinez on April 8, 1919 in San Ygnacio, Texas. She moved to San Saba in 1949 and spent the remainder of her life in Cherokee and San Saba.
Herminia was a feisty housewife and an expert seamstress who was dedicated to her family and friends. She was a “Grandma” to many. She loved her plants and flowers and spent any free time outside, digging in the dirt.
