San Saba City Council holds Emergency Special Meeting April 2nd

The San Saba City Council held an Emergency Special Meeting on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The meeting was conducted by telephone conference in order to adhere to the public health goal called “social distancing” to slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Game Warden Field Notes

Gesundheit! On Feb. 15, a Real County game warden assisted the Real County Sheriff’s Department on a call about a reckless driver that had been pulled over just south of Leakey. After the deputy made contact with the driver, he told the game warden the driver was acting very nervous.

It took a village. . . a village of teams that is. . . that worked together so cohesively San Saba has a Lowe’s Market again!

On Friday, March 20th, at 11:00 a.m., several teams that held the same interest met at the San Saba County Courthouse. That interest was the creation of a temporary grocery store for San Saba due to the loss seven days earlier of its only grocery market - Lowe’s Market.
