Receipts totaled 5,095 head. There was strong demand with a very active market. The stocker steers sold steady with 3 steers 542 lbs at $162.00 ($878.04) and 12 steers 351 lbs $205.00 ($719.55). The stocker heifers were $5 to $10 higher with 7 heifers 449 lbs at $160.00 ($718.40).

San Saba Lodge to hold regular meeting

On Saturday, February 6th San Saba Masonic Lodge will hold its regular stated meeting. Lodge will open at 7:00 p.m. with work in the EA. No meal will be served. Also, Masons and Mason’s helpers are reminded to provide their community service reports for December and January.

The last few weeks have been a little different here at Cherokee ISD, with virtual learning taking place in December and then the snow in January. We seem to be getting back into the normal routine now though and are looking ahead with positivity.

Receipts totaled 3,102 head. The market was very active with the roping calves $10- $25 higher with one group of 11 steers 228 lbs at $240.00 ($547.20). The stocker steers and heifers were steady with 8 steers 446 lbs at $178.00 ($793.88) and 28 steers 582 lbs at $157.00 ($913.74).
