Health and Human Services awards $49M for health centers

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded more than $49.62 million to Texas in American Rescue Plan funding for major construction and renovation of 66 health centers throughout the state.

Receipts totaled 2,923 head. A very good offering of cattle were sold this week with good demand and strong buyer activity. The stocker steers sold $3-$5 higher with 6 steers 437 lbs at $186.00 ($812.82) and 6 steers 591 lbs at $156.00 ($921.96). The stocker heifers were $2-$3 higher.

Good Grief

Charlie Brown was often chastised by Lucy. One of her favorite sayings to him was, “Good grief, Charlie Brown!” Although I’m not sure what Lucy meant, the term “good grief” does stir thoughts as to how a Christian grieves well in a time of loss.
