Levon Ward of the City Water Department is April’s Employee of the Month. Levon was awarded a dedicated plaque with his name on it and a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

Ongoing Weekly Meetings

The BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) - San Saba Satellite Discussion Group Women’s Day and Evening class begins the 2025-2026 study: Exile and Return: A time to Build on Thursda-y, September 11th. Day class is from 9:30-11:00 and evening class is from 6:00-7:30 at First Baptist Church San Saba.

They were lost

I knew something was wrong because she didn’t speak to me when she came home that evening. She left that morning with a lot of excitement. I asked her what was wrong? She said, “They are lost and I can’t find them.”She had taken her young dogs hunting earlier in the day, and they got lost.

Howard Payne University’s (HPU) School of Education and Fine arts will present a recital on Friday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Grace Chapel on HPU’s campus. The event is free and open to the public.The lecture-recital is titled “Art of the Sonata” and will feature Dr.

Howard Payne University to host Summer and Young Scholars programs for summer 2026

Howard Payne University’s (HPU) annual academic summer camp for elementary and middle school age students is scheduled for July 13-17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at HPU. The registration fee for the program is $165 and includes tuition, a T-shirt, promotional items, daily snacks and supplies.
