NRCS Texas announces additional 2024 National Water Quality Initiative sign-ups through EQIP

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas announced an additional Fiscal Year 2024 signup for the National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI) offered through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). NRCS Texas will consider NWQI applications received by May 17, 2024, for the FY24 funding opportunity.

People really will be talking about this for years to come. You see articles and YouTube videos talking about the rarity of the Total Solar Eclipse that occurred on April 8, 2024. I'm sure you can still find T-shirts and eclipse merchandise to purchase. The event will be something you tell your kids, grandkids, and generations to come.

Buddy Whitley named April Employee of the Month

Buddy Whitley of the San Saba Parks Department was honored with Employee of the Month award for April, 2024. Buddy has been with this department for about two years. His supervisor, Eugene Bessent, stated Buddy has done a really good job and has really improved the flower beds. He noted the flowers and everything in the park look really good.
