The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas announced an additional Fiscal Year 2024 signup for the National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI) offered through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). NRCS Texas will consider NWQI applications received by May 17, 2024, for the FY24 funding opportunity.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Brown, Mills, and San Saba Counties are partnering together to conduct a Private Pesticide Applicator Training April 23rd in Brownwood, Texas. The training will be at the Brown County Extension Office, 605 Fisk Avenue.

I loved looking at all the pictures in the paper and on Facebook of the overwhelming response to the eclipse. I ran across a few fuddy duddies, but for the most part it was an awesome event.

People really will be talking about this for years to come. You see articles and YouTube videos talking about the rarity of the Total Solar Eclipse that occurred on April 8, 2024. I'm sure you can still find T-shirts and eclipse merchandise to purchase. The event will be something you tell your kids, grandkids, and generations to come.
