Harrison-endorsed group to perform two shows Sept 4, 5
Returning to “their favorite venue,” The Liverpool Legends will bring their offically-sanctioned Beatles tribute show to Fredericksburg’s longest running venue, the Rockbox Theater, for two exclusive performances on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM, and on Saturday, September 5, at 4:00 PM.
Billed as The Complete Beatles Experience, the Liverpool Legends are four world-class musicians and actors, personally endorsed by the late Louise Harrison, sister of George Harrison, to honor her brother’s legacy. The elaborate stage show covers every era of the Beatles, from the early mania of “I Want To Hold Your Hand” through the colorful world of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, complete with narration by Louise Harrison, professional audio-visuals, and authentic costuming and instruments.
The group performs 150 concerts a year, including selling out consecutive nights at a 10,000seat concert hall in Mexico City. With all that, they love to come to Fredericksburg. Marty Scott, the band’s “George,” notes that the Rockbox Theater is “the most intimate venue we ever play.”
“I tease the audience by saying when you stand up, it's literally like you're on stage with us!,” Scott said. “We honestly love coming to Fredericksburg. We usually come in early and stay late, so we can go to all the restaurants and bars there and hang out. It's a such cool little town. There is not a better way to spend time with your family than coming to this show and experiencing the magic of the Beatles, no matter if you are 8 or 88.”
Landon Miller, who has taken over management of the popular 20-year venue this year, considers the quality of an act like the Liverpool Legends as part of what continues to make the Rockbox Theater special.
“This act brings the audience as close as any of us will get to experiencing a live Beatles performance in the present day,” Miller said. “They regularly pack venues that hold thousands of people, so we’re thrilled to offer the Hill Country a chance to see and hear them in the intimate listening room of Rockbox Theater– which is also fully prepared for their dazzling visual show.”
In addition to hosting such acts as the Liverpool Legends, Miller’s plans include increasing the number of shows, broadening the range of acts, and adding comedy and movie programming. The Rockbox Theater is located in downtown Fredericksburg at 109 Llano Street. Guests can purchase refreshments in the lobby.
