Receipts totaled 1650 head for the week. The demand was very strong and active. The stocker steers were $5-$15 higher with 3 steers weighing 478 lbs $194.00 ($927.32) and 7 steers 543 lbs $176.00 ($955.68). The stocker heifers sold $5-$7 higher with 4 heifers 520 lbs $153.00 ($795.60).

San Saba-Mills County Farm Service Agency announces county committee election results

San Saba-Mills County U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) announced that Chris Pool of San Saba was elected to represent his local administrative area (LAA) during the recent county committee election. Michael Randolph of Cherokee will serve as the first alternate.

My phone is dead again. It is presently plugged into the charger trying to come to life. Anyone who has had a cell phone knows the frustration of a dying phone while making an important call. I find a similar frustration with my flashlight, golf cart, laptop, and battery powered tools.
