After a Covid break, the San Saba County Museum is excited to be preparing for our 5th "A Night at the Museum," celebrating Texas Independence Day in Mill Pond Park from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
We have four speakers lined up who will share facets of San Saba County and Texas history throughout the afternoon. Here is a sneak peek at their titles:
• Circuit Riders: “Spreading the Gospel on the Frontier”;
• “Turning Family Legends into Historical Entertainment”;
• “Frontier Long Guns”; and
• “San Saba Boxing Clubs.” The campfire chicken fried
The campfire chicken fried steak dinner, prepared by Lee Murray and crew, will begin at 5:00 p.m., and of course there will be live music.
This fun evening is priced so that the whole family can attend. Only $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children aged 6-11. Younger children are free, as are Active-Duty Military personnel. Tickets will be available soon at local merchants and online.
