Volunteer Fire Fighters drop everything to take on wildfire

County volunteer fire crews battled a wildfire last Saturday evening along CR 362 in southwest San Saba County. Suppers and family time were left behind when crews were dispatched at 6:45 p.m. to the blaze, which grew to 80 acres before the fire was under control.
