Heritage House for Children is a passion of Dr. James Mercer. Growing up as an orphan himself, he knows how children feel when they don’t have a forever home. Dr. Mercer stated the reason he chose San Saba for Heritage House Children’s Home is because San Saba is a caring community.

Pecan Capital Trade Day

The weather did not keep the vendors or the customers away last Saturday at the Pecan Capital Trade Day in San Saba. Joan Van Gorp said they did not have any rain, and the vendors’ sales were pretty good. There were eight vendors showing off their items.

Hill Country Cattlewomen award scholarships

The Hill Country Cattlewomen ( HCCW) proudly announces this year’s HCCW Scholarship recipients. Scholarships are offered to college juniors and above who have earned at least 60 college hours and are residents of one of the 14 counties HCCW serves.

Mason - San Saba•August 25, 2022 Receipts totaled 2,612 head. The market continued this week with good activity and strong demand. The stocker steers sold $ 5-$ 10 higher with 10 steers 542 lbs $220.00 ($1192.40), and the stocker heifers sold steady to $2 higher.
