San Saba hosted on Pecan Capital Trade Day this past Saturday. The front of the courthouse was lined with booths with baked goods to canned jellies, jewelry to clothing, hand made purses to aprons, and much more.

Mid Term Election 2022

San Saba County has spoken and has made their voices known. Of those registered to vote in San Saba, 1,110 chose to vote early in the 2022 Mid-Term Elections.

San Saba Lodge to meet Saturday

The regular stated meeting will be Saturday, November 5th. William Jake Lackey will provide the main course meal of enchiladas, which will be served at 6:30 p.m. Lodge will open at 7:00 p.m. Also, Masons and Mason’s helpers are reminded to provide their community service reports for October.

The Final Word on the Graveyard

Over the last weeks, there has been lots of publicity on several social media platforms regarding Rogan Field aka “The Graveyard.” With the spotlight comes much misinformation and many people criticizing our forefathers for developing a rundown cemetery into an athletic facility.

2022 Halloween Coloring Contest . . . We have our winners!

It was a tough contest this year. There was significant competition in all three age groups which made the decision making very difficult. Age group 3-5 years had 12 entries, age group 6-8 years had 10 entries, and age group 9-12 year had nine entries.

The Rotary Club of San Saba will be hosting Mr. Tom Maynard, San Saba County’s representative on the State Board of Education, Thursday, November 3rd, at Pecan House Grill. A buffet lunch is available for $20.00 cash including tip, but an RSVP is necessary by 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 28th.
