New Hope Presbyterian Church welcomes Hunter Mabery, December 4th

On Sunday, December 4, Hunter Mabery will be playing in worship at the New Hope Presbyterian Church. A native of Arkansas, where he grew up on a small ranch, Hunter completed his Master's Degree in Piano Accompaniment at Guildhall School of Music in London, England. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance at Henderson State University in Arkansas. Throughout his undergraduate years, Hunter performed on many occasions as soloist and accompanist. He has performed various piano concerti as a winner of several competitions. In 2012, he made his orchestral debut with the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra as winner of the annual Young Artist Concerto Competition. In 2012 and 2015, Hunter was winner of the President's Concert Concerto Competition at Henderson State University, performing with members of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. In March 2017, Hunter received the Accompanist Prize at the Courtney Kenny Award Competition in Kent, England. He has performed chamber music recitals throughout the US, UK, and Europe. Hunter has participated in music festivals including the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz, Austria, the International Music Festival Saarburger Serenaden in Saaburg, Germany, and Musiktheater Bavaria. In summer 2021, Hunter was a staff accompanist at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan. Hunter is the Staff Accompanist at Angelo State University and part-time pianist at First Presbyterian Church in San Angelo.
