House OKs $4.5 billion for teacher pay raises The Texas House last Thursday passed two education-related bills, one that allocates $4.5 billion for teacher pay raises and another to increase the annual per-student base funding from $6,160 to $6,300 – a 2.3% increase.

Walk Across Texas Leaderboard

Walk Across Texas is a teambased program that is designed to get Texans up and moving. Walk Across Texas is an eightweek program. Our third week of WalkAcross Texas wrapped up on Sunday! The team goal is 832 miles. The numbers listed are the miles they have walked thus far.

On Monday, May 1st, the Freemasons of San Saba, Order of Eastern Star & the Scottish Rite Club hosted their 31st annual Awards / Seniors Banquet. The 2023 senior class of Cherokee, Richland Springs and San Saba High Schools were in attendance.
