Virtual Wildlife Series May 12 and May 18

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension service of Callahan County will be hosting a virtual wildlife series on May 12 and May 18. The program is free, all you will need is your computer or cell phone to log into the program through Zoom. Both programs will be held during the lunch hour from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

High school students invited to apply for HPU’s Summer Research Symposium

Howard Payne University’s School of Science and Mathematics invites high school students to apply for admission to the second annual Summer Research Symposium, scheduled for July 5th through August 2, 2023. Applications are now open and will be accepted until May 13th.

CTC summer semester registration now open

Central Texas College (CTC) announced registration for summer 2023 semester classes is now open at its Service Area sites of Fredericksburg, Gatesville, Lampasas and Marble Falls. Returning students who have a degree plan on file may now register using the school's Eagle Self-Service system.

Senate, House begin budget reconciliation process The Texas Senate unanimously approved a $308 billion two-year budget last week, the Austin American-Statesman reported. The next step is to reconcile that budget with one passed earlier by the Texas House.
