Mason - San Saba April 25, 2024Receipts totaled 2,321 head. The market was very active this week with strong demand on most all classes of cattle. The stocker steers were $10-$15 high with 49 steers 442 lbs at $348.00 ($1538.16) and 31 steers 517 lbs at $326.00 ($1685.42).

MOE 7/8 share “Above The Rim Classic” Tournament Championship

On Saturday, April 20, MOE 7/8 traveled to Forbes Middle School in Georgetown, Texas, to take part in the 2024 Next Level 'Above the Rim Classic' basketball tournament.MOE would get off to a slow start as they would drop the opening round game to the tournament host, Next Level 8th Grade, 33-28.

Talk is so easy. Most of us have soap boxes that we are more than eager to mount. Some of mine are politics, the damage that screens and social media have done to society, and wet socks. I really hate wet socks.

New Texas Historical Marker erected at courthouse

On Wednesday, April 24th, San Saba Masons erected the new Texas Historical Marker on the east side of the courthouse. The marker denotes the contributions of Edgar T. Neal, especially to San Saba County. A formal dedication will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
