Recently I heard a country music song about choices, and I believe it was by George Jones. The song went on to say we live with those choices. We are faced with choices all of our lives, and they can be enjoyable and wonderful, or they can be painful or heartbreaks.

The American Red Cross of Central and South Texas continues to address the needs of residents affected by the tornadoes that swept through the Temple area on Wednesday, May 22.The Red Cross has mobilized local disaster workers – 90 percent of whom are volunteers – to assist residents in need.

HOWDY from Bend, It’s been a busy week in Bend. We have been blessed with more rain, and the creeks, rivers, and lakes have all gotten a little more full. The boat ramp at Colorado Bend State Park is closed, however I’ve seen a ton of kayakers driving down towards the parks.
