Three time defending champions at 5 Star Summer Showcase

    MOE 5/6 (49-4) traveled to Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday, June 22, to attempt to capture a third consecutive tournament championship at the 23rd Annual Magic 5 Star Summer Showcase.

    MOE had previously won the 4th grade girls division in 2022 and the 5th grade girls division in 2023. MOE would enter the tournament as the odds on favorite to win the 6th grade girls division in 2024.

    MOE Basketball has won every division of the 5 Star Summer Showcase they have participated in since 2017 and includes 16 division championships in eight years. The most impressive being three division championships in one day in 2018, 2019, and 2022. In the 2024 version of the tournament, MOE would have wins over the Temple Tem-Cats 42-33, Texas Elite Select 34-28, and Texas Warriors Elite 42-31 to capture their third consecutive 5 Star Summer Showcase championship and their 11th tournament championship of the year.
