Mason - San Saba June 13, 2024Receipts totaled 3,247 head. A choice offering of cattle were on hand with very good buyer demand. The stocker steers sold $4-$5 higher with 6 steers 518 lbs at $326.00 ($1688.68) and 3 steers 577 lbs at $302.00 ($1742.54). The stocker heifers were steady to $2 higher.

It is time for male tarantulas to start looking for love, sometimes in all the wrong places, the San Antonio Express-News reported. The state is home to 14 species of the creature, the most common of which is the Texas brown tarantula.

San Saba’s physician, Dr. Craig Whiting, retires

For many years Dr. Craig Whiting has been the County’s only local doctor. Yes, there may be other doctors who travel here from time to time, but he has been the one constant doctor here in San Saba County for quite some time.I had the privilege of meeting with Dr.
Bridget Macedo, Utility Billing Coordinator, was named Employee of the Month for June 2024. Her supervisor, City Treasurer Charlene Lindsay, and Alderman Marcus Amthor took part in the presentation. Bridget is seen here holding a dedicated plaque with her name on it. She was also presented with a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
