Week One Preview

Football season is finally back! The month of August for the Armadillo football squad has been full of two-a-days, scrimmages, and the brutal Texas heat. Two-a-days and scrimmages are now officially over, as for the Texas heat; well, it is a part of life for the next several weeks. The 108th football season will kick off against the Buffaloes from Florence, the game was scheduled to be played in Florence, but due to water restrictions in the area, the field was not fit to be played on. The game has been moved to Chaparral Stadium in KILEEN this Friday.

The Dillos are coming off a 6-4 2022 record and missed the playoffs for the first time in five years. The Buffaloes had a rough season going (1-8) and finishing sixth in district 13-3A. Being the first game of the season for both teams, there are not many stats to compare, but let us go ahead and put some useless (but always good to know) facts together.
