Coleman Bluecats blast the SS Armadillos

The Armadillos (4-2, 0-2 in district) came up against a juggernaut of a team last Friday night, losing to Coleman (5-1, 2-0 in district) 49-0. The bigger and faster Bluecats showed the home crowd just why they are ranked #6 in the state as they scored at will and only allowed the Dillo’s to muster up 70 total yards of offense. It was a rough outing for the football team. The 0-2 start in district play has put the Dillos on the outside looking in as far as playoffs go, but if San Saba can win the next three district games, their chances will greatly increase.

Moving on to Week 7

The Armadillos will be traveling to DeLeon to take on the Bearcats. This will be the 30th time the two teams have squared off against each other; the first contest coming back in 1938 (San Saba won 39-0). The 30th meeting is the 10th most played opponent for the Armadillos, and they have played each other consecutively since 2012. Let us look and some more useless (but always good to know) facts about the game.
