'All Things Irish' with Pierian Club

Pierian Club members enjoyed 'All Things Irish' during their March 7th meeting which was held at Celia Bell's B'nB, the San Saba Guest House.

Marcia Dyer, club president, conducted the business meeting.

Jacqueline Carlson read minutes from the January meeting, and Catherine Hanrahan submitted the treasurer's report.

Membership chairman, Cydney Pearce, reported that Gale Ivy will be moving to an Associate member; Shelley Jones Handorf and Jeri Jones are both resigning as Active members. Two new members, Sheila Meador and Cindy Sloan, will take the active slots. Cissy Williams reported on the Dove Project and updated the club on specific items that are needed.

Marcia gave an update on the Entertainment Committee's end of year party plans and stated that invitations will be distributed next month. Janis Murray will be replacing Shelley Jones as chairman of the Contact Committee. Celia Bell announced the new slate of officers who will be installed at the April meeting.

After the business meeting, Celia led the group in various Irish games and trivia.

The Yearbook Committee: Maela Edmonson, Gale Ivy, Debbie Shahan, Marsha Smart, and Audrey Smith served members delicious treats that carried out the Irish theme.

The next meeting will be on April 11 at the Hotel San Saba.
