They are, from left to right, Rickey Lusty, David Behrens, County Agend Billy Kidd, Buddy Mays and Dick Miller. Burn Ban still in effect

The current Burn Ban which was enacted by the Commissioners Court on March 10, 2025, is still in effect until April 15, 2025. The next Court date is April 14, 2025, at which time it will be re-evaluated by the Court.

The annual Central Texas Pecan Program will be conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Office in Mills County on Wednesday, April 9th, at the Mills County Civic Center at 1103 Cline St. in Goldthwaite. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Receipts totaled 3,071 head. The market continued to be very strong this week with good demand. The stocker steers were steady to $5 higher with 10 steers 599 lbs at $336.00 ($2012.640). The stocker heifers were steady to $3 higher with 4 heifers 560 lbs at $330.00 ($1848.00).
