The current Burn Ban which was enacted by the Commissioners Court on March 10, 2025, is still in effect until April 15, 2025. The next Court date is April 14, 2025, at which time it will be re-evaluated by the Court.
The following items were unanimously approved during the March 24th Commissioners Court meeting:
• Resolution authorizing the creation of the Central Texas Regional 911 Emergency Communications District - Uryan Nelson from CTCOG (Central Texas Council of Governments gave a presentation to the court on this item.
• Proclamation to Proclaim the Month of April of 2025 to be ChildAbuse Prevention Month to include April 9, 2025, to be “Go Blue Day” - There will be a Go Blue Day ceremony at the Gazebo in Mill Pond Park on that day, and they ask everyone to wear blue.
• Allowing display of Heart Gallery of Texas in the Courthouse for the Month of April - Judge Fauley explained that Heart Gallery of Texas is a nonprofit group that raises awareness of children in the foster system available for adoption. The timing of this is to coincide with ChildAbuse Prevention Month to show the great number of hurting children in need of our help.
• Bid received from San Saba Establishment, LLC for $400K for real estate property: 423 E Wallace, San Saba, Texas
• Accounts payable bills as presented
The Court voted 3-1 to update the OSSF (On Site Sewage Facilities) Action Item to Update Order and Interlocal to eliminate the 10 acre rule. There was quite a bit of discussion on this item. Mr. Hamrick and Marsha Hardy were present to answer questions and give explanations.
The County received a plaque for all the years with Hill Country Transit Authority.
There were no line-item transfers presented.
The next Commissioner Court dates are April 14th and April 28th, both at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom on the second floor of the Courthouse.
