Museum Notes

Guy Narcomey gave a very interesting and enjoyable presentation to the large group attending the San Saba County Museum annual meeting Sunday afternoon, June 1st. He told several stories in Comanche and explained the stories in English.

Golden Wedding Anniversary

Marvin and Cynthia Weatherby were married on June 5th, 1975, at the Church of Christ in Burnet, Texas, beginning a journey of love that has now lasted 50 beautiful years. They’ve spent their entire married life on the Weatherby family ranch in San Saba.

Texas JH Rodeo Finals

Sydni Rae Jones and her ribbon roping partner, Hagan Hale, won 4th out of 100 teams at the Texas JH Rodeo Finals in Gonzales this week and will represent Texas in Des Moines, Iowa, at the National JH Rodeo Finals the end of June. Sydni Rae’s grandparents are Robert and Barbara Grimes of San Saba.

Jordan Cattle Auction

Mason & San Saba May 29, 2025Receipts totaled 1,321 head with no sale in Mason due to the Memorial Day Holiday. We also had good rains throughout a lot of the area the last few weeks which slowed some cattle coming to town. The stocker steers sold steady with 11 steers 515 lbs at $408.00 ($2101.20).
